“Mario Moreno Zepeda ’10 came to the U.S. with his family from Mexico when he was eight years old. He witnessed the effects of the drug trade on the border and began immigration and drug policy research while at Duke. This led him to become the press secretary for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, where he is currently focused on working to help people with substance abuse issues. He is one of eight Latino Millenials currently working in the White House, featured in this NBC News story.”
