A FAMILY APPROACH TO A COMPLEX PROBLEM
HOW MORZEP STARTED
The vision of MORZEP College Coaching materialized more than 25 years ago, when, as new arrivals to the USA we struggled to navigate the educational system for our own children. Like many parents, we believed that professional educators in the school system would undertake the responsibility of giving them access to the best educational opportunities possible. Quickly, we realized that this was not the case, and that our experience wasn’t the exception, it was the rule!
During our research, we found an article entitled “The Crucial Role of College Counselors” by Zasloff & Steckel, published in the Atlantic concluding that the average student receives an average of only 38 minutes of college admission advice from their guidance counselors in the span of their high school education.
Additionally, the advice students receive is more procedural and does not take into account the complexity that accompanies such an individual and relevant decision.
IT DIDN’T TAKE LONG FOR US TO DECIDE TO DEDICATE OUR TIME FULLY TO OUR OWN CHILDREN’S AND MANY OTHER STUDENTS’ FUTURE!
MORZEP COLLEGE COACHING WAS BORN
Even though MORZEP continues to grow, we still haven’t lost sight of what it feels like to be navigating the educational system for the first time, and we have certainly not lost sight of what this feels like!
In 2008, as a team with my wife, we realized this dream called MORZEP, with the aim of providing access to the best post-secondary education to any student who really wants to prepare for their future.

WE KNOW GOING TO COLLEGE MATTERS
It matters for your future earnings and your job possibilities and it matters for your kids’ future earnings and jobs. But at MORZEP, we make going to college a baseline expectation, because we know our kids are capable of and deserve so much more. We work individually with each student to ensure that they pick the college that will allow them to pursue their dreams.
We help them explore different majors and paths of study. We help them explore extracurricular activities and find a balance between those and their academic endeavors. And we help families make decisions about college that are financially viable and sustainable.
All of these things matter, and they matter greatly. But what matters most to us is that MORZEP scholars believe in their unlimited potential and ability to achieve whatever dreams and goals they set for themselves.
This belief underlies everything we do, and we will work tirelessly to ensure your child feels the same.
